Q. What do you like best about your system?
A.I’ve been an audiophile for 20+ years, and I have a pretty good idea about what I like. My current system has the main attributes I look for in a system – precise imaging, neutrality, detail, smoothness, dynamics, and tight, deep bass. Analog and digital sound equally engaging. My non-audiophile wife, who previously spent very little time in my listening room and could only listen at low volumes, said my system makes everything sound good and no longer minds when I crank up the volume.
Q. What do you like best about the Norvinz products you
own?
A.I have always liked ESLs. I love their detail and imaging, other types of speakers don’t sound as clear to me. I purchased my previous speakers (ML Ascents) from Vinh and was happy with them for a long time. However, I had to augment them with a sub-woofer to get the tonal balance right. The things I like most about my Sanders 10b’s are their precise imaging, the seamless integration between the panel and woofer, the deep, tight bass, and their smoothness which makes almost any recording a pleasure to listen to. Not surprisingly, Roger Sanders said he designed his speakers to be smooth.
Q. What is your regular profession and why did you decide
to become a Norvinz FR?
A. I'm an international banker and since I have very limited leisure time, I want my system to provide the best listening experience possible. As a banker, I evaluate the tradeoff between cost and performance. I met Vinh several years ago and he has become a friend. He is very knowledgeable and helpful, and his enthusiasm is contagious. He only sells products he believes in, and I would only sell products I own. When you purchase from Norvinz, you are also entering into a lifelong relationship with a group of top-notch people, and in the long run their friendship and honest, well-informed advice will be worth as much as the cost of the equipment. I believe in the Norvinz business model and the people involved, and I look forward to sharing my love for music with others.
Q. What, in your opinion, is your best qualification to
be a Norvinz FR and to serve the Norvinz customer?
A. Nothing, except my ears, honesty, common sense, and a lifelong love for music. I’m technically ignorant, but I believe that if you can’t hear an obvious difference within 30 seconds, your imagination is playing tricks on you. I have no experience selling stereo equipment, but I have 15 years of experience in advising and serving large institutional clients and governments on their financial needs, and I will bring the same level of client orientation and honesty my Norvinz customers.
Q. How did you become a Norvinz FR?
A. I was interested in upgrading my speakers, and when Vinh broached the idea of my becoming a Norvinz FR I gladly accepted this opportunity to bring his excellent products and customer service to a wider audience while simultaneously continuing my hobby. |
