Q. What do I like best about my system?
A. The ability for it not to be there! For me there is
nothing like being "transported" by the artists to the place
where they were at, emotionally as well as the actually
recording venue. Over the many years that I have been
involved both professionally and as a hobby with music
reproduction there have been many fine listening
experiences, but few if any that have taken me to that magic
place as my current system does, especially with the
addition of the MS21/Tri-Planar/Lyra combo. Analog does rule
and I truly enjoy sharing that experience with all who come
to listen.
Q. What do you like best about the Norvinz products you
own?
A. The MS21 table truly is an exceptional piece of gear.
I've had several "serious" analog rigs over these many
years, but when I first heard the MS21 I knew there was
something very special about this work of art. I have the
new Lyra Skala cartridge mounted (with the use of Wally
Tools) into the newest Tri-Planar arm, the VIII, and I can
honest say that is so much less to hear, AS IN THE TURNTABLE
NOT THE MUSIC, than I have ever experienced before. As good
as vinyl has been for me, now the vinyl is just closer to
the original recording! Come and listen!
Q. What is my regular profession and why did you become a Norvinz Field Rep?
A. I am a Manufacturers' Rep. in the professional audio and
video markets. For the last 34 years I have involved in the
consumer and professional audio arena. I never had any
formal training in the audio industry nor any musical
talent. But I do love music, all types, and am passionate
about having a system that can provide for me the emotional
involvement intended by the artists. I've known the owner of Norvinz for many years and have respect for his business
ethics.
When I was approached to be a Norvinz Field Rep, I was
very intrigued by the business model that Norvinz has
established. I truly can't believe of any better way for an
individual to audition a product than to do so in a "real"
listen environment - another individual's existing listening
room where all has been created to bring the musical
experience to life.
Q. What, in your opinion, is your best qualification to
be Norvinz Field Rep, and to serve the Norvinz customer.
A. My passion for being MOVED by a musical experience!! Over
my 30+ years of being involved with the professional audio
industry I have had many opportunities to hear all types of
performances live. There are so many aspects to what makes a
performance come to life, and I believe I have used my real
world experiences as a template for reaching that same
realism in my own listening room. As for serving the Norvinz
customer, all I can say is that if you really are interested
in music reproduction and its emotional involvement, I will
do my utmost to help you get there! |
