Theory of Operation

The Cyber-211 is a single-ended class A mono power amplifier. It uses no global feedback. The 5687 is a high mu dual triode, and acts as one tube with drive stage. AC voltage applied to the input goes first to the E88CC and then to the grid of the 5687. The 5687 provides voltage gain and drives the 211/845 output tube. The 211/845 is transformer-coupled to the load. (In this case, the speaker.)

The Cyber-300B is a very well thought out TJ300B single ended mono power amplifier.

The output transformer quality is always of paramount concern especially with 300B amps. The cyber-300B uses selected silicon steel in c-cut form. We winds the primary and secondary coils with a special technique to achieve close coupling. Traditional paper and varnish is used for coil insulation and traditional damp proofing techniques are also applied. The transformers are visually impressive but even more impressive is their ability to a deliver smooth solid and musical deep-bass. A secret revealed how to increase dynamics and liquidity. Many have wondered why the output transformer sound so good considering their non-exotic cores. The answer is that the laminations are mixed with vintage military surplus transformer laminations. These are from transformers that have seen years of service. As vintage-buffs know much of the good sound has to do with long-term conditioning of the metals and wire. Mechanical stresses relax over time enhancing magnetic performance.
